Weston Scouts, Inc. which was established in 1938 is a non-profit and tax-exempt organization with the purpose of supporting Scouting in the Town of Weston and to oversee the care of the Scout House. To raise funds for the house, letters of appeal are sent to friends of the Scout House, and to Weston residents, and all donations may be/are tax deductible. The Josephine Bidwell Endowment was created to help support the Scout House.
Fundraising by the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, such as Girl Scout Cookie sales do not benefit the Scout House, because those funds support the troops and a portion of the funds go to the Girl Scout Council.
The Weston Scout House property is currently used for many troop meetings, award ceremonies, recruitment events, adult leader orientation, and town wide troop events.
Girl Scout Awards are Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Boy Scout highest Award is the Eagle.
The Provisional group of the Weston Garden Club assists the Scouts with landscaping and yard cleanup.
We are thankful to the Town of Weston for helping to plow snow and mow the grass.
